“Building Resilience – Designing Effective Services”

Saint John of God Hospitaller Services
22nd Annual Research and Evaluation Study Day

25th September 2012

Every year the Saint John of God Research Strategy Group hosts a Research and Evaluation Study Day. The aim is to showcase current research in the areas of Intellectual Disability, Child and Adolescent Mental Health, and Adult Mental Health, to promote learning and information sharing and to foster a culture of research across these three Research Areas.

The Day features 5 national and international guest speakers and 6 oral presentations from Saint John of God staff who will present research in the areas of mental health and intellectual disability.

Venue:

Saint John of God Hospital, Stillorgan, Co. Dublin.

Cost:

The day is free of charge but you must register. Please register here.
Closing date for registration: Monday 17th September 2012

Tea, coffee and lunch will be provided, and the day closes with a wine reception to which all are welcome.

Who should attend?
The Day is open to Saint John of God Hospitaller Services staff and external service providers interested in mental health and intellectual disability research. This is an excellent opportunity to network and share information informally, to discuss the ways in which research has made a positive impact on health care and to explore the ways in which research can significantly improve the provision and delivery of health care.

Guest speakers:
• Dr Diana Rose, PhD - Co-Director Service User Research Enterprise (SURE),
Institute of Psychiatry, King's College London.
• Sue Lloyd Selby - Senior Project Manage, Value, Wales Welsh Assembly
• Nuala Doherty - CEO, Centre for Effective Services, Dublin
• Kathleen Lynch TD -  Minister for Disability, Equality, Mental Health and Older People
• Dr. Paul Hutton, ClinPsyD, Psychosis Research Unit, Greater Manchester West Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust.
